This evening at 6pm, we are stepping into a new Hebrew year—5786.
Rosh Hashanah is more than a holiday; it is a prophetic season. It is the head of the year, the spiritual doorway into a fresh cycle of GOD’s purposes. This is the time where HE calls us to awaken, to realign, and to step into the new assignments HE has prepared.
The sound of the shofar is resounding. Spiritually, it is a wake-up call. It is the trumpet blast of heaven that shakes us from slumber and summons us to holiness. This is not the hour for compromise, distraction, or lukewarm living. This is the moment to examine our hearts, repent where needed, and posture ourselves for the favor and assignments ahead.
Jewish tradition teaches that during this season the Books of Life are opened, and every choice, word, and deed carries eternal weight (Daniel 7:10; Revelation 20:12). Yet this is not a season of dread, but a season of mercy. The King is in the field. HE draws near to HIS people, inviting us into fresh intimacy and renewed alignment with HIS purposes.
Many prophetic voices are discerning that 5786 is a threshold year—a time when old doors are closing and new doors are opening (Isaiah 22:22).
As we cross this threshold, I want to share six areas the LORD has been highlighting to me (Clayborn) about what HIS people can expect in this year:
1. Freedom and Breakthrough Against Amalek
Deuteronomy 25:17–19 warns us to remember how Amalek attacked Israel in their weariness, ambushing the rear ranks. This Amalekic spirit is the same operation of Belial that seeks to wear out the saints (Daniel 7:25).
In 5786, the LORD is breaking these cycles of exhaustion and ambush. The hand of GOD (Yud) will cover the weary, strengthen the stragglers, and overturn every plan of the enemy. Expect freedom from cycles of weariness, sudden breakthroughs where there has been long resistance, and the blotting out of Amalek’s schemes.
2. Spiritual Awakening: The Eagle Among the Chickens
This year the Ekklesia will awaken to her true identity. The LORD showed me a picture through an old fable: an eagle that was raised among chickens. Because it grew up in a chicken yard, it thought it was a chicken. When the rains came, the eagle ran and hid like the chickens. It scratched the ground for scraps. It never attempted to soar because it thought its destiny was limited to the dirt beneath its feet.
But one day, that eagle looked up and saw another eagle soaring above the treetops. Something stirred deep within. For the first time, it wrestled with the question of identity: Am I really a chicken, or was I made for something more?
That is the picture of the Ekklesia in 5786. Too many have lived under chicken thinking—confined to circumstances, bound by fear, limited by what culture and compromise have told them. But this year, the SPIRIT is awakening HIS people to realize: You were never made to live like chickens. You are eagles, designed to soar in heavenly places with CHRIST JESUS (Ephesians 2:6).
This awakening will cause the Ekklesia to rise from slumber and step into its true nature. Eagles don’t scratch in the dirt; they ride the winds. Eagles don’t hide from storms; they soar above them. In 5786, GOD’s people will break free from small thinking and begin to ascend to their rightful place of authority, vision, and spiritual strength.
3. Unexplainable Yud-Like Miracles
The Hebrew letter Yud (י) is tied to this year. Yud is the smallest letter, just a dot, yet it is the seed of all other letters. It represents the hand of GOD and the spark of HIS infinite presence. This year will be marked by seed-miracles: sudden, unexplainable breakthroughs that spring from small beginnings. What looks insignificant will carry infinite potential. Expect miracles that cannot be explained by human reason—GOD’s hand writing HIS story in ways that only HE can do (Zechariah 4:10).
4. Major Suddenlies
The theme of the “suddenlies of GOD” will be prominent in 5786. Acts 2:2 says, “And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind…” Expect divine interruptions—sudden openings, sudden deliverances, sudden healings, sudden outpourings of HIS Spirit. Where the enemy has sought to wear down and delay, the LORD will move suddenly to advance HIS people.
5. Supernatural Additions to the Ekklesia
Acts 2:47 declares that “the LORD added to the church daily those who were being saved.” In 5786, GOD is going to add to HIS Ekklesia in supernatural ways. Expect unexpected alignments, divine connections, and people being drawn by the Spirit into the household of faith, even within our Ekklesia expression here in Memphis (@Dunamis Memphis). This is not just church growth by human effort—it is a supernatural harvest that will astonish many.
6. A Tangible Display of the Fear of the LORD
Acts 5:11 says, “Great fear came upon all the church and upon all who heard these things.” This year will bring a fresh, tangible display of the fear of the LORD. Not terror, but holy reverence that convicts hearts, breaks pride, and brings authentic conversions. Many will encounter GOD in such a way that they are truly born again—radical salvations, deep repentance, and undeniable transformations. The fear of the LORD will sweep through gatherings, campuses, and communities, resulting in real harvest.
Final Call: Step into 5786 with Faith and Expectancy
This is not a year to coast or merely mark time. This is the head of the year, the beginning of a divine cycle. Let us step into it with repentance, with faith, and with holy expectancy.
• Let us remember Amalek, so that we may blot out the spirit of weariness once and for all.
• Let us awaken like the eagle, shaking off chicken thinking and soaring into our true identity.
• Let us watch for the hand of GOD moving in unexplainable miracles.
• Let us posture ourselves for the suddenlies of heaven--divine disruptions
• Let us prepare for supernatural additions to the Ekklesia
• Let us walk in the fear of the LORD and see authentic conversions that shake cities.
5786 is a year of awakening, breakthrough, and divine order.
The shofar has sounded—the Books are open—the King is in the field.
Now is the time to align with HIM and to walk in HIS victory!
Blessings,
